Whole brown rice requires more cooking time and less water than white rice due to its outer husk.

To cook a cup of rice, you may need to use two and a half to three cups of water.

Pre-soaking brown rice in water, such as white rice, will make it cook faster.

Pre-soaked whole brown rice takes about 35-40 minutes to prepare.

Note: Brown rice, due to its bran content, becomes soft and fluffy during cooking. Use more water if you want the rice to get softer.
